100th Day Celebration

Hola,

On Tuesday we celebrated our 100th day of school. We recognized this day with hundreds themed activities throughout the day as well as a student run presentation. Students shared a culminating project they completed at home.

In math we played a race to one hundred game where students rolled a set of dice to earn tally marks. During a portion of literacy time students went on a hundreds word challenge where they searched throughout the classroom and the school to record 100 words. Some students were so motivated they brought the work home to complete that night! We read stories with hundreds themes such as One Hundred Hungry Ants and Miss. Bindergarten Celebrates the 100th day of Kindergarten.

Leading up to this day there was a lot of preparation in which students brainstormed together as to what their 100th project would be. Students worked hard to complete first drafts of invitations for our celebration before sending them home. I was so proud to notice that each of the student projects were unique from their classmates. Thank you to all of the families who helped to support and make this hundreds project possible, students very much enjoyed working on them.

We ended the day with a celebration in which students sang a song for their audience before presenting what they did, following students presentation they recited a poem to close the ceremony. We had some wonderful and nutritious snacks to end the festivities with while students showcased work and mingled with friends and family. Thank you so much for all of your support, we had a wonderful 100th day!
